keeping time

If you are unable to correct with hwclock or adjtimex and it is a firmware
problem that is causing it a script that 'Foo Bar' supplied over at Debian
support may fix your problem. I've kept a copy available at
ftp://ftp.eskimo.com/u/b/badger/downloads/Debian/MacMini-G4/tickadj_script.tar

It seems to work on other processors too.

IMPORTANT: Do not just install without seeing if script needs to be adjusted
for your computer. Archive needs to opened as sudo and will self install so
be SURE!

If you do use it please let me know results and the processor you are using.

For NTP tick adjustments

There are also two other scripts tick.sh and time.sh at
ftp://ftp.eskimo.com/u/b/badger/downloads/Debian/
Use the time.sh to brute force the clock to the correct time and then let
the tick.sh run for six hours and see if you can use the information from
the log.
Note: In time.sh you probably won't need the -t 2.5 Also adjust the
ntp.poolservers if you need to.

"What is time? The shadow on the dial, the striking of the clock, the
running of the sand, day and night, summer and winter, months, years,
centuries - these are but arbitrary and outward signs, the measure of Time,
not Time itself. Time is the Life of the soul."
