mounting OS X

I figured out how to mount my OS X partition on my PPC iBook running  
edgy

what I cannot figure out, despite numerous google searches, is how to  
transfer something from one partition to the otehr

I can mount my os X partition in edgy, but I can't transfer a file  
over to the mac partition

the mac partition in hfs+

the linux partition [I think] is ext3 (I'd have to check in parted  
but I'm not running linux at teh moment and os X does not seem to  
have that command)

anywho, the question is, how can I transfer files from my linux  
partition to my OS X partition?
