ntp-server broken on dapper?

at first, thanks a lot for your hint; the ntpdate -d finally helped me
getting things sorted out.

I got an error similar to that, but actually I figured out the server
is responding but not providing any meaningful time data. Making my way
through google I read about similar problems having ntp servers set up
but not being patient enough to actually let it get synced with its
peers, so I left the ntp server alone and working, and now it finally
seems to do what it is supposed to. Thanks a lot! :)
