Help with Feisty Fawn Herd Install

That is probably a problem with initramfs-tools, which I have before.

You can try to install the Edgy's initramfs-tools package, if you have
the Edgy alternative CD, boot it up and chroot on your installation.

You can also install it on Desktop CD, and get the file from the internet.

Here's an example.

mount /dev/cdrom /cdrom
mount /dev/hda1 /target #assuming hda1 is where you install Feisty Herd 5.
cp /cdrom/???initramfs-on-edgy_i386.deb /target/root
chroot /target /bin/sh
dpkg -i ./initramfs-on-edgy_i386.deb

-- Desktop CD --

> Application > Terminal

sudo mount /dev/hda1 /feistyherd5
sudo cp /etc/resolv.conf /feistyherd5/etc/
sudo chroot /feistyherd5 /bin/sh
wget http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool/main/i/initramfs-tools/initramfs-tools_0.69ubuntu20_all.deb
dpkg -i ./initramfs-tools_0.69ubuntu20_all.deb
