Playing music CD directly from ISO?

I created the image by right clicking the CD icon on the desktop and 
selecting "Copy Disk..." and then from the "Copy disk to" drop down I 
selected "File Image".

Meanwhile I found a way to play this file by using the play command 
(part of the sox package), i.e. "play cd.iso".  The one thing I cannot 
do with the play command is see the different tracks and select which 
one to play.  It just starts from the begining and plays all the way to 
the  end.
