Ordering of kernels in the "automagic" part of grub/menu.lst?

I think that was the default behaviour of my old Debian system (before
I switched to Ubuntu in early 2006) but as far as I can tell Ubuntu
hasn't done it that way, at least since I upgraded to Edgy.
