I just installed it, no problem at all. It's in the "multiverse"
repository, though,  which I think might not be enabled by default.
That's probably why you can't find it.
Just edit your sources.list file to suit, or do it using the Ubuntu GUI
tool by going to System->Preferences->Software Sources.
