I'm trying to do an apt-get upgrade on an edgy machine. But its' failing
like this:
Preparing to replace xbase-clients 1:7.1.1ubuntu6 (using
.../xbase-clients_1%3a7.1.ds1-2_i386.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement xbase-clients ...
dpkg: error processing
/var/cache/apt/archives/xbase-clients_1%3a7.1.ds1-2_i386.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite `/usr/share/man/man1/xprop.1.gz', which is also in
package xprop
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)
Errors were encountered while processing:
/var/cache/apt/archives/xbase-clients_1%3a7.1.ds1-2_i386.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
Now, I beleive that I simply need to force remove the xprop package, but I
can't seem to find the correct "magic speel" to do this
What should I do?
