No authority certificates in Firefox

First try moving your .mozilla directory out of the way. Perhaps your
local config is busted:
$ mv .mozilla .mozilla.tmp
If that doesn't solve it, try reinstalling firefox:
$ sudo apt-get install --reinstall firefox
If that doesn't work, try reinstalling the ca-certificates package:
$ sudo apt-get install --reinstall ca-certificates
