symbol errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined

Hey all...

I tried to make a new BOOT image for DBAN(dban.sourceforge.net) but when i
start the script i got this error:

Creating the boot image...
mkdosfs: relocation error: mkdosfs: symbol errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not
defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference

i googled and googled and googled ... some people in forum said that i have
to export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL  ... i tried this but nothing changed ...
i got the same error again ...

anyone know a solution for this problem ??

im running Ubuntu 6.10 (2.6.17-11)

ls -la | grep libc.so*
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root      11 2007-02-08 09:52 libc.so.6 -> libc-2.4.so
