    What kind of "slow" are we talking about, here?  If it's 1 frame
every second, that's not OpenGL; that's the software rendering. If it's
a "mere" 20-30 frames a second, that's an old video card.

    I've had "slow" here on every OpenGL application I've ever used- not
sure why.  I'm running a copy of a machine my friend has. Both started
with Redhat 9, but Dapper, these days. Both AMD 1200's.  Both of us were
following the same HOWTOs, both using the same packages, resolutions,
color depths, and so on.  He always got 200fps, the best I've seen here
is 70.

    It's 8xAGP, it's the latest driver on an Nvidia card, obviously,
just a little "slow". It's ok; it's no less fun and distracting.

    Which slow are we being concerned with?
