I'm not quite sure what you mean, but if you have a "Terminal" icon on
your desktop you can just delete it ( it's only a link)

The menu entry for the terminal should be under
Applications-Accessories-Terminal. If not, right-click the Ubuntu logo on
the menu and use the menu editor to put an entry for it where you want it.
The command to put in the properties box is " gnome-terminal "  ( without
the quotes)
