Ubuntu Edgy Updates

Hi Folks

I have a few installs to do here, It seems the updates are each quite a volume, especially when multiplied out.

Are these updates downloaded to one directory or are they automatically farmed out where they are to go?

That is, how can I download them once and distribute these to the other PCs on the LAN?  (Short of possibly setting up a mirror from http://apt-mirror.sourceforge.net/?)
