I fixed it!!!

Truthfully Im not sure what the heck I did. 
I stopped dovecot and was reading the manaul and I was looking for some
of the things it said to check if you had authorization problems. I
didnt see anything so I restarted. Then evolution was working!

I ALSO have Thunderbird working - which the thunderbird support groups
said it couldnt the way I have my system set up. Well, they were wrong.
