How can I contribute?

I agree, helping people is an awesome way to help out. Make a web
site, help out on the list, and help on the forums. That's a great
way to give back.
If you wanted to do something with programming, do some research on
Gnome development or KDE development, or take up a programming
language. There are a lot of great, free programming books available
on the web. Do a Google search for 'free online programming books'.
There's a great web site with hundreds of books. I'm not on my main
computer right now, or I'd give you a link to it. But there's a lot
of good information out there.
