My box has a simlar chip (the m-b is an Intel 856gb) and I have
learned running Debian the Intel 810 driver is a little
problematic.It's being worked on but for example I find it impossible
to get anything more than 1280x960 and my monitor is capable of more.
Picture sharpness is OK. Are you running an LED monitor per chance -
ghosting with the lower end ones is sometimes a problem.
