Alternate CD iso for v4.07 Ubuntu corrupt

Did you download with a downloader instead of a web browser? Have you tried a CD drive cleaner? Have you tried doing the CD self check? In a different computer? Have you tried burning the CD at less
than full speed, like 16x or 24x? I just did 2 installs from the alternate CD without apparent problem, but I normally burn at 24x rather than full speed, and only download ISO files with wget.
