Having problem getting my Linksys WPC 11 (Ver.3) to connect to the
internet. Ran iwconfig and got the result shown below. This shows the
access point as none.

eth1 IEEE 802.11b ESSID:"xxxxxxxxxxxx" Nickname:"Prism I"
Mode:Managed Frequency:2.437 GHz Access Point: None
          Bit Rate:2 Mb/s Sensitivity:1/3
          Retry limit:8 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
          Power Management:off
Link Quality=0/92 Signal level=-68 dBm Noise level=-122 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:33 Rx invalid frag:0
          Tx excessive retries:66 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0

I then ran: sudo iwconfig eth1 essid <xxxxxxxxxxx> ap
<xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx> key <xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xx> mode <>
commit

I got the following response:

Interface eth1 doesn't support IP addresses
eth1 Interface doesn't support IP addresses
Error for wireless request "Set AP Address" (8B14) :
    invalid argument "xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx".
I'm certain of the essid, ap and key as I got those off an ipconfig/all
inquiry. Where do I go now??
