"--Rick Donahue--Failed to initialize HAL"

Hey,
I don't know, maybe since the last update, I get an internal error 
message upon boot-up about the hardware abstraction layer of Ubuntu. 
"Internal Error Failed To Initialize HAL". Now, I can't print, call up 
the printing installment feature.. ( most hardware stuff, for those of 
who know, you now what I mean). I'm running GNOME 2.18.1 and Ubuntu 
7.04. I have no idea what happened. At least I can still get on the 
net.... Any suggestions?? I did just recently upgrade to SeaMonkey 
version Gecko/20070509 SeaMonkey/1.1.2.,  just as an added bonus of info....
