mp3 codec for totem

Hi

im trying to play some of my MP3's on totem, but everytime i do, it says:

Totem could not play "file:///media/sda1/the_song_im_wanting_to_play.mp3

Audio codec 'MPEG 1 Layer 3  CBR' is not handled. You might need to 
install additional plugins to be able to play some types of movies


I tried using adept to search for mp3 codecs, but no luck.

Where can i download an MP3 codec that would be totem complient?
