Personal Journal Suggestion

Hi All,

I wold like to write a personal journal on my Ubuntu 7.04 box.

I am looking for an application with the following specs:

A lightweight GUI with standard formating capabilities.
Portability: I'd like to able to export what I right to different formats
(to PDF will be ideal, but I'd might like to edit the source later)
A way to incorporate images in PNG or JPEG format as part of the doc.
A way to time stamp and auto-name each document with a unique name (like the
date, time and subject or an indexing mechanism)

I guess you get my meaning...

Any of you know such apps?

OpenOffice Writer is to much and not specific for a personal journal...

I am also not interested in an online solution (i.e. LiveJournal).
