Those who use Scribus on a regular basis probably already know this, but
for the rest who feel they are stuck in the past with 1.2.x:

New repos are available at:

That page shows how to add the repos and GPG key.

On Feisty, Scribus is updated to 1.3.3.9 and the 1.3.4 development
package is also available - you can install both if you wish. Recommend
that after you've updated you open Synaptic, search 'scribus' and add
the icc-profiles, lprof, scribus-doc, and scribus-template. The
templates contain some fairly decent templates for brochures,
advertisements, newsletters, etc. More templates are available here:
