Second that :-) I've found webmin very useful and a very well done
interface/program (www.webmin.com/).

Disclaimer: I've not run it yet... I'm installing as I type. But it
looks to be a nice lightweight alternative to ubuntu-desktop or
kbuntu-desktop.
