Mr. Reed,
Ok well I'm assuming your burning the CD on Windows?

Is you user account and Administrator or Limited?...You should be an
administrator for most burning software.

It's also very important that you burn the .ISO file directly to the
CD...don't try to decompress it...it's a download and burn. (You may
also want to confirm the checksum of the file that you downloaded with
the what the site that you downloaded it from says the checksum should
be.

Finally, some burning software (and from what I can tell InfraRecorder
is one of em) you can not burn CD images or .iso files. We use Nero OEM
edition on Windows machines. Most Nero versions have an option for CD
or DVD images or .iso files.

If you have a Ubuntu or Kubuntu(you probably don't..that's why your
trying to burn the cd of it..right!?) ...or any other version of
Linux....especially KDE versions...the best program for this kind of
thing....and by far the easiest is K3B. This program is standard for
most KDE desktop Linux platforms like Kubuntu...but if you happen to
have a GNOME desktop like Ubuntu you can search for it in Synaptic.
