I just performed this experiment: started xev, and pressed
Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Right to move it to the next workspace (I wanted a
keybinding that doesn't cause xev to lose focus).  The event log printed
by xev had KeyPress events for Ctrl/Alt/Shift, but it did not have the
KeyPress for Right.
