Running from CD and Not installing

Yes, it will run *almost* identically to a real Ubuntu installation
except I don't think you can install or update any additional software.
But, it will run much slower than if it was actually installed.

Also keep in mind, every time you restart/shutdown from the LiveCD, you
will loose any information you created during the session. (Meaning it
wont save any preferences, etc.)
