Yes. But I think you'll find several like this already filed - example:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/117433
There are a few also opened over on OOo, but the ones that I could find
are dated 2004, 2005 & 2006 and marked as fixed or closed. Example of
the latest 2006 report:
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=62463
My guess is that this problem is an older OOo bug that has been fixed by
OOo and is now raising it's head in the Ubuntu OOo version.
I removed the file, and still get the same problem. I even created a word
and excel file in a Win box and sent them via email to my Ubuntu box. Got
the same results. I also sent those same files to another win machine of
one of my co-workers. They opened it fine. I had them save the file in MS
Office under a different file name, and send them back. Same problem.
I looked at the bugs, but haven't seen a workaround. Basically, this says
that open office is borked until the next release, rendering it useless to
any Linux users who have to live in a MS world...
