There are several ways to get into 1-wire; one nice place to get the
parts is at http://hobby-boards.com. Be sure to get an adapter
(USB/Serial; serial lets you run OWFS as a user, and not root) as well
as a hub, or at least a power injector; it's handy.

When you get your parts, I can send you my perl program, or there
are alternatives to that, too. One such piece of code is in Java and
tests the display, for example.

It actually uses network wire; it's core uses 1 wire (and a return)
but the system at Hobby Boards includes a 5V regulated line, as well as
a 12V-or-more line, so the boards can regulate it themselves. But when
you read the temperature, for example, it's in degrees and calibrated-
no charts or such. The humidity works in percentage. I love it!

I'm in the process of mounting my parts to a board, then painting it
up, so I can mount it in the trailer, and start turning on fans and
lights!
