Realtek HD Audio no sound (Ubuntu 7.04)

Thanks guys for your timely response. I went and downloaded the latest ALSA
(driver, library, utilites). I also downloaded the latest driver off
Realtek's website (realtek-linux-audiopack-3.5-6b.tar.bz2).

@Lee Tambiah
The link which you gave me is very helpful but I'd like to know if this
procedure only concern boards with Intel chipset? Mine has nVidia chipset.
