Startup time of Firefox and Thunderbird

    I think the OP and I have something in common- under Dapper, just a 
few days ago, I ran Firefox, Thunderbird and others with the traditional 
speed.  Then I upgraded to Feisty....and now I play SameGnome waiting 
for these applications to come up the first time.

    What's changed?
