No, I don't think there's any guarantee that everything will work on 
*all* ... computers. Nevertheless I'd guess, chances are pretty good 
that one doesn't encounter problems.

As a rule of thumb, I'd say the older the hardware the better the 
chances that it's supported by Linux/Ubuntu.

Anyway: I don't get the point in trying to say that *all* ... computers 
will have no problems, since it's a simply matter of starting the Live 
CD on the specific computer you're interested in and trying whether 
everything works.
