What makes Ubuntu so great?

I completely agree with you. The ubuntu's community is great. People
interact a lot here, and they are always trying to help each other.

That's true too. When I thought about getting rid of windows, I spoke with a
friend of mine who works with linux, and he said: "Try ubuntu. Everything
will be much easier there because lots of people are moving to it, many
softwares are getting easier to configure there than in other distros"

I have been using windows since I started using computers (I'm not
considering the DOS age, cuz I was to young). I got my first contact with
linux at college, and that's when I decided to create a dual boot on my
laptop with fedora core 6. I had many problems configuring the notebook
monitor, and still haven't fixed it. About 1 month ago, I made an upgrade on
my desktop and installed Vista. Guess what, in less than 1 hour using it, my
computer completely froze. That's when I decided to try ubuntu, and I must
say, it's really easy to deal with it. Sometimes I get stuck with 1 or 2
configurations, but that's when the community helps a lot.
