What makes Ubuntu so great?

Ive also noticed that ubuntu fiesty tends to handle games alot better 
then what windows does on my system (windows crawls because of antivirus 
and junk like that).

Another thing that sold me on ubuntu was the fact that firewalls and 
antiviruses and antispywares werent necessary like they are in windows.

And furthermore, ubuntu has much better security then what windows does 
(even with antivirus and firewall) and when a hole in ubuntu is 
discovered, the development teem atleast puts for the effort to fix that 
hole, unline microsoft where they just make it worse or dont even fix it 
at all
