How do I get 1680x1050 with my new video card ?

My laptop quit so I pulled the hard drive loaded with Feisty and
installed it on a desktop computer.

Everything works fine except that I am not getting 1680x1050 video
output. I think I have 1280x1024.

My laptop had an nvidia card and I was using the kernel drivers. The
desktop machine has (according to lspci)

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82865G Integrated
Graphics
Controller (rev 02)

KInfoCenter gives more info, but I can't copy and paste it. (!)

If I go into K->System Settings -> Monitor & Display, I get:

The module Monitor and Display could not be loaded.
The diagnostics is:
Possible reasons:
	- An error occurred during your last KDE upgrade leaving an orphaned
control module
	- You have old third party modules lying around.
Check these points carefully and try to remove the module mentioned in
the error message.

My xorg.conf file has modlines for 1680x1050.

How do I fix this ?

Thanks
