No problem :-) I see the mailing list as a knowledge base as much as a 
support forum. The thing was that I could remove the PVs from the VG 
using the force (-f) option, but could never remove the VG or create new 
PVs for a different VG.
Plus, I didn't want to mess with block devices without being absolutely 
sure it was an OK thing to do ;-)
