    What you're wanting it to be is an X-terminal; the LTSP is all about
this.  There, they take even old 486's, make them boot and start
relaying mouse clicks and displaying what it's told.  It's really hard
to claim obsolescence of PC hardware when using them as X-terminals-
moving a 486 to anything higher doesn't change the speed!  :)

    There are hardware issues, though...finding 486-era memory is
getting harder and harder.

    But for you, see Google for projects with your device name and "x
terminal" or "Linux" in them.  If someone's doing it (easily) it'll be
on the net someplace.

    Good luck with it; it should be a lot of fun!  (And the boss would
love you, not having to buy new PCs, too!)
