Edgy Upgrade: Sound not working AC97

Hiya,

I have a problem in that after an upgrade to Edgy, kernel
2.6.17-10-386, that now my sound is no longer working.

It is an onboard Intel sound card.  lspci gives:

aplay -l gives:

So the system is evidentally *finding* the card.  Just nothing coming out.

And yes, I've checked that it isn't muted.

Any other suggestions?
