What is wrong with this ps -eux| grep firefox

You could also try pgrep. pgrep firefox will give you a list of process
IDs whose name contains the string firefox. So you can then do:

	kill `pgrep firefox`

In fact there is pkill too, so you can just type:

	pkill firefox
