Getting eSATA to work

Hi,

I need help getting this to work. System is Ubuntu Breezy. The eSATA PCI
card is Norco 4618 which is Silicon Image 3124.

The kernel is 2.6 with Silicon Image support.

If I run lspci the output is
0000:00:0b.0 Unknown mass storage controller: Silicon Image, Inc.
(formerly CMD Technology Inc): Unknown device 3124 (rev 02)

If I run lsmod the output is
libata                 52744  2 sata_sil,sata_via
scsi_mod              143984  1 libata
sata_sil               11268  0

Motherboard is Abit AV8

When I attach a Seagate ST3500601XS-RK 500 gigabyte eSATA device, the
card does not see it.

Please let me know how to fix this.
