I have an Asus M2N-E, and lm-sensors doesn't work because the relevant
module (in my case k8temp) isn't part of the kernel that comes with
6.06.1

My MB won't be supported until Feisty is released - i.e. kernel 2.6.19
(or 20). Maybe it's the same for yours.
