Feisty-kernel for Edgy?

Hi,

After my upgrade to Edgy I'm experiencing problems with my Promise
TX2plus SATA controller. When connecting an external HDD via eSATA, the
system seems almost to grind to a halt after a few minutes, shutting
down is working, but takes ages and a lot of ATA-errors show up :(

Since I didn't have any problems with Dapper's kernel, I suspect it's
related to Edgy's kernel, but maybe I'm jumping to a conclusion too fast.

So, I want to give Feisty's kernel a chance, anyone known of any show
stoppers when backporting this?
