OK I have now managed to set up my own private feed to test this and I
am now almost certain that it is caused by a date issue.
I setup a feed with an invalid date field and added it Rhythmbox, it
happily downloaded the feed and then downloaded a test file.
Right clicking on the feed itself and choosing properties showed me
that it was last updated 1970 Jan 01 (Unix Epoch i think).
After that point it refused to ever add any new podcasts for that
feed, even after I corrected the error.
When using correct dates it worked, but only after reading the feed so
that the first feed it loaded was correct.
The only difference I made between the non-working files and the
working files was a change to the <pubDate> field making it a valid
date according to RFC-822
You have a number of options if you want to listen to that feed.
1) File a bug report about Rhythmbox and await a fix. (not sure its
Rhythmbox's fault the file is not conformant to standards).
2) Use a different Podcast client
3) Ask the feed creator to correct his feed (probably the best option, IMHO)
