missing kernel boot messages on RX300 S3 with Ubuntu 6.10 server

Hi,

I've installed a fresh ubuntu 6.10 server on a RX300 S3 box. The server
seems to work fine. But when starting the maschine it shows the
following messages, instead of printing all kernel boot messages to the
screen:

Where are the kernel boot messages? Something wrong with the
framebuffer?
