Backing up my evolution mailbox

I would like to start using the Feisty, but I want a reliable way to
keep a backup of my email. I have no other important files stored in my
linux partitions, everything is tucked away in ext3. So I feel pretty
safe running feisty.
So, every time I've looked at backup options they're either so
complicated I don't understand them, or so simple I can't find out what
they're actually doing. Suggestions?
Also, is it possible to have my mailbox (not all the other setting)
available to both Edgy and Feisty. I'm using evolution as my mail
client.
Thanks for any advice you have out there.
Duncan
