Thank you Antonio,

I tried to follow your instructions.

First I removed all lightscribe packages I installed, downloaded the rpm you
sent me and converted it with Alien.

When trying to install, I get this:

sudo dpkg -i 4l_1.0-1_i386.deb
Password:
(Reading database ... 218870 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace 4l 1.0-1 (using 4l_1.0-1_i386.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement 4l ...
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of 4l:
 4l depends on lightscribe; however:
  Package lightscribe is not installed.
dpkg: error processing 4l (--install):
 dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Errors were encountered while processing:
 4l

Should I install lightscribe from the Ubuntu repos (sources) and then try
again?

Thanks!
