Compiler error

Any tips on what's missing for compliling??, i'm getting this error
message:

loading cache ./config.cache
checking for gcc... gcc
checking whether the C compiler (gcc  ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler
cannot create executables.
