Apache - SSL

Mark,

I found my problem - The redirect to the SSL directory was pointing to a
non-existent directory.
But I went ahead to add the log creation to my default page.

That's because there's no error log defined in your secure <virtualhost>
section.  Look at your error.log for clues as to why ssl is not working.
