No. The distinction "root" / "arbitrary user" serves more purposes than
just keeping you from accidentially wiping out your files. Including an
universal "become-root-to-do-that" feature basically would render that
distinction meaningless and make Ubuntu what Windows 98 was - a system
where everyone can do everything without thinking twice, and without
being kept from doing what (s)he is not allowed to.
