I call mine tscii but it reads like this
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
127.0.1.1 tscii
Some games need the first line and ubuntu tends to make it just localhost,
which often means you can't play server type games on the localhost.
See what ifconfig tells you, you shouldn't need sudo for that, you are going
to have hassles trying to edit the hosts file though because you need to be
sudo to do it. You are probably going to have to login in recovery mode to
fix it.
