Dvd/RW Burner...???

I think most of them will work flawlessley with linux. Just the  
bundled dvd playing and authoring software will only work for  
windows. But that doesn't matter cos linux has things like K3b and  
gnome-baker to handle these kind of tasks. I bought a Liteon DVD  
burner and stuck it into an external USB2 case, despite both the  
writer and the case saying they wanted atleast win2000 they both  
worked perfectly with linux. Personally I've always had good  
experiences with Liteon, they're incredible cheap  and perform  
excellently, they are a little louder than others but that matters  
not a bit to me. Otherwise I'd opt for the more expensive Pioneers.
